Accountant
About the position:
As an Accountant at Northvolt, you will be a crucial part of the finance team, supporting the company’s day-to-day accounting needs. The role involves contributing to system development, participating in monthly financial reporting and close processes, and handling daily transactional postings. The Finance team in Skellefteå is expected to grow, and the Senior Accountant will play a key role in establishing the local accounting function while being part of the larger group finance team.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– manage daily accounting operations, including month and year-end close processes, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations;
– ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, recording financial transactions according to GAAP and other accounting standards;
– assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements;
– update the fixed asset register to comply with Swedish GAAP and IFRS.
Candidate profile:
– relevant University Degree;
– 3+ years of experience in an Accounting or similar role;
– excellent written and oral English skills;
– experience in medium to large companies is preferred.
