I want to work in Sweden

If you have arrived in Sweden and hold refugee status or temporary protection during your first year here, we warmly invite you to join our program,

”I Want to Work in Sweden.”

This program has been specially designed by our team of integration experts and job coaches to help you prepare for entering the Swedish job market.

This project is implemented by us, the non-profit organization Beredskapslyftet, with financial support from Länsstyrelsen Stockholm.

The program will help you understand the labor market and prepare you for the job search. Successful participants will meet employers. We already have a successful track record of working with new arrivals. Since 2022, we have helped over 600 Ukrainians who came to Sweden because of the war to find jobs. Now we have the opportunity to also help those with asylum seeker status.

Here’s what you’ll learn from us:

• Jobs in Sweden: we’ll tell you what jobs are available and which industries need employees.
• Preparation: How to prepare yourself to get a job.
• Writing a CV and cover letter: Tips and advice for writing a good CV and cover letter.
• Finding jobs: Where to find job vacancies and meet employers.

Step-by-step program:

1. Information meeting with professional recruiter. We will tell you about the Swedish labor market and our program.
2. The course “Life and work in Sweden”. Includes information about Swedish society, preparation of CV and cover letter, preparation for job interviews and much more.
3. Development of a personalized action plan or individual meetings with job coaches. Together with our job coaches, you create your own action plan and find out exactly what steps to take next. Helping you to identify and correct errors in your job search and to act appropriately.
4. Meetings with employers.

For candidates who successfully complete the first steps, we organize meetings with employers. We have a lot of experience in organizing meetings between candidates and recruiters, and many candidates have obtained work contracts thanks to these meetings.
